Day 1

Home . Cairo

You’ll be met at the airport and taken to your hotel near the Great Pyramids of Giza. A buzzing metropolis, home to at least 19 million people, Cairo gives you a great feel for Egyptian streetlife. It’s busy – almost frantic – and among the hustle and bustle, it’s an exciting blend of old world and new. Arabs call this city Umm al-Dunya (the mother of the world). There are many beautiful mosques to visit, like the Mohammed Ali Mosque in the Citadel. Or head to the oldest part of Cairo, the Babylon Fortress, to see ancient ruins. For stunning panoramic views of the capital, go up the 187-metre-high Cairo Tower. Try some street food – lamb shawarma, anyone? – or get a taste of Egyptian street life by visiting a cafe. Sit in an ahwa and sip traditional mint tea. The shisha pipe can be found in many ahwas and restaurants across Cairo. In the evening, join your guide and the rest of your group for a welcome meeting. Please look for a note in the hotel lobby or ask hotel reception where it will take place. Please note - some flights may depart the day before.

Day 2

Cairo . Luxor

After checking out of our hotel, we’ll drive out to Giza, home to perhaps the greatest iconic structures ever created by man – the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Instantly familiar, yet retaining a mystique and power, getting up close to these incredible pharaonic tombs is captivating. There are over 100 pyramids in Egypt but the Great Pyramid of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops, is a defining symbol of Egypt. With a height of 146.5 metres, it’s the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one still standing. For an additional charge, you may be able to go inside the Great Pyramid, although occasionally it may be closed to visitors. We’ll then head to the Egyptian Museum, one of the world’s greatest museums. Home to over 12,000 ancient Egyptian antiquities exhibiting many of the region’s treasures, your expert guide will take you through Egypt’s rich and fascinating dynastic history. You will then have some free time to explore on your own or you may wish to visit the Royal Mummy Room (optional and at extra cost). We will head back to the hotel, where you can freshen up in the day use room before you are transferred to the train station. You can take this time to relax, or purchase some supplies before boarding an overnight sleeper train to Luxor. Please note: Notes: The two-berth cabins are comfortable and air-conditioned. All bedding is provided onboard by the porter. Western-style toilets are located in each carriage, but we recommend bringing additional toilet paper. Keep in mind general train cleanliness may not be to the same standards you are accustomed to. An included dinner and breakfast are served on board. You may want to purchase something extra beforehand to supplement your meal, particularly if you're a vegetarian as only a single type of meal is served for dinner, which always includes meat. In rare circumstances you may be paired in your cabin with a group member of the opposite sex, depending on the group configuration. On other occasions, you might be sharing with another traveller of the same sex who may not be part of our group, again determined by the group configuration.

Day 3

Luxor . Embark Nile cruise

Embark Nile cruise Meals included Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Hotel M/S Nile Dolphin cruise, or similar After an early breakfast, the train rolls into Luxor, a vibrant place with an excellent bazaar. From the spectacular temple complex of Karnak to the Valley of the Kings, Luxor is full of wonderfully-preserved reminders of the Pharaohs. You will explore the magnificent Karnak Temple, which is perhaps the most impressive of all the ancient Pharaohs' monumental works. One of the world's most celebrated temple complexes, Karnak is a house of the gods built over a period of some 200 years. Your guided tour of this vast temple of impressive pylons, obelisks and chapels will reveal its finest sections, such as the Avenue of Sphinxes and the Great Temple of Amun. Later you’ll be transferred to your Nile cruise boat, your home for the next four nights. Feel free to relax by the pool on the boat or explore the town. The rest of the day is yours – perhaps shop in the excellent bazaar (open quite late) or experience the atmosphere of a local teahouse. Enjoy cruising the Nile for four nights between Aswan and Luxor, with all the comforts you would expect from a five-star floating hotel. Enjoy the view of the Nile, the palms and the desert from your room. OPTIONAL TOUR - LUXOR TEMPLE Constructed over hundreds of years by Amenhotep III, Ramses II, Tutankhamun, and other pharaohs, Luxor Temple was the largest and most significant religious centre in ancient Egypt. In what was then Thebes, Luxor Temple was “the place of the First Occasion,” where the god Amon experienced rebirth during the pharaoh’s annually reenacted coronation ceremony. Today, remains of this vast complex include the colossal Great Colonnade Hall, almost 61 meters long, with 28 twenty-one-foot-high columns, its decoration largely undertaken by Tutankhamun around 1330 B.C. Many of the temple’s sidewalls were torn down after the time of the pharaohs and recycled for building materials.

Day 4

Luxor

Destination . Luxor Meals included Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Hotel M/S Nile Dolphin cruise, or similar We’ll start early with the spectacular royal burial site of the Valley of the Kings. Buried under the arid hills here are over 60 tombs of pharaohs, many richly decorated with reliefs and paintings. With your tour leader, explore this sprawling and spectacular place, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom (16th to 11th century BC) were secretly interred for all eternity, and where discoveries are still being made. Tutankhamun’s final resting place is also located here, and you’ll have free time to visit it as an optional tour. Your guide will explain the history and legends of these remarkable people, their funerary rites, and the significance of the many paintings and hieroglyphics, still well preserved in the deepest tombs. You will visit three of the most interesting royal tombs and then continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, a stunning colonnaded building set against high cliffs that create a spectacular natural amphitheatre. One of Egypt’s greatest queens, she built this temple to prove her importance – the scale and elegance of her temple certainly proves a point! Our final stop is the Colossi of Memnon, two 17-metre-high statues on Luxor’s west bank. Carved from granite blocks, they represent the Pharaoh Amenhotep III and were once part of an impressive colonnade. Enjoy lunch upon your return to the boat. There is time to relax on deck or in your cabin before you set sail for Edfu.

Day 5

Edfu . Kom Ombo . Aswan

Destination . Edfu . Kom Ombo . Aswan Meals included Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Hotel M/S Nile Dolphin cruise, or similar Today we’ll be moored near Edfu. This city is best known for its beautifully preserved temple dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. We’ll continue travelling upriver, with free time relaxing on the sundeck and taking in the surrounding sights, including lush riverbanks against a backdrop of desert hills. We’ll arrive at Kom Ombo Temple in the afternoon. Dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris, this unusual double temple was constructed during the Ptolemaic period, which lasted from 108 to 47 BC. Set dramatically on the banks of the Nile, 47km north of Aswan and 168km south of Luxor, the soaring, chunky columns of the Great Temple of Kom Ombo are a magnificent sight as you arrive from the river. Today, Kom Ombo may be a sleepy agricultural backwater surrounded by sugar cane fields, but its prime position along the Nile once made it one of Upper Egypt’s most important centres. Wander through the temple’s colonnades, gazing up at scenes of kingly propaganda, and you’ll catch a feel of this glorious history for yourself. The temple is well preserved, especially detail on the murals and columns. One unique engraving is thought to be among the first representations of medical and surgical instruments. Don’t miss the mummified crocodiles on display in the Crocodile Museum attached to the temple. We’ll board the boat again at around 6pm and continue to Aswan, arriving at around 9.30pm. Please note: The only mode of transport available to visit the Edfu temple is by locally managed horse and carriages. As a responsible travel-focused business, animal welfare is extremely important to us and we want to ensure that we are not promoting any activities where the working animals are not properly cared for. Unfortunately, some operators of the Horse and Carriages have been found to be in breach of our animal welfare guidelines and it is, for this reason, we will no longer including the visit the Edfu Temple. In addition to the animal welfare concerns, we have had a substantial amount of feedback suggesting that the experience itself is quite uncomfortable due to the pushy nature of the vendors and local suppliers outside the site. While we recommend that you do not use the horse and carriage to visit the Temple, the decision is ultimately up to you. Edfu is an included port stop on the Nile River cruise schedule and is an optional tour. OPTIONAL TOUR - EDFU TEMPLE This temple is perhaps the best preserved in the whole country. The scale is incredibly impressive, with soaring sandstone walls covered in reliefs and hieroglyphics. You’ll pass through the Grand Temple entranceway into a colossal courtyard ringed with 32 towering columns, each richly decorated with patterns, and once the site of a great altar. The sense of awe that comes from touring this temple is incredible.

Day 5

Aswan

Destination . Aswan Meals included Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Hotel M/S Nile Dolphin cruise, or similar Early this morning we’ll drive to Abu Simbel, near the southern Egyptian border. Often referred to as the Temple of Ramses II, the two enormous sandstone structures at Abu Simbel were built in 1255 BC by Ramses II to commemorate himself and his favourite wife Nefertari. The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Nubian Monuments. The larger temple, dedicated to three major Egyptian deities, features four large statues of Ramses II on its facade, while the smaller temple is dedicated to the love goddess Hathor, with statues designed to embody Nefertari. Set on the banks of the artificial Lake Nasser, the structures were once in danger of being flooded with the construction of the Aswan High Dam. They were saved by an extensive project to cut the temples into pieces and move them to higher ground, where they are seen today. This afternoon, we will enjoy a sailboat ride around the islands in a traditional felucca, stopping off at the botanical gardens on Kitchener's Island. Tonight, you may wish to partake in the optional Nubian dinner. OPTIONAL TOUR - NUBIAN DINNER Experience modern Nubian culture first-hand with a visit to Elephantine Island. On your visit you’ll join a Nubian family for dinner and experience true traditional Nubian hospitality. Here, you will encounter Nubian homes, traditional food and an unforgettable insight into the daily life of a Nubian. This is a rare and memorable experience, giving you the chance to become fully immersed in the local culture.

Day 7

Aswan . Cairo

You’ll be transferred to Aswan International Airport for the short flight back to Cairo (approximately one hour and 15 minutes) where you will be met and taken to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to see more of this exciting city.

Day 8

Cairo . Amman

Destination Cairo . Amman Meals included Breakfast Hotel 4 . Geneva Hotel Amman, or similar You’ll bid farewell to Egypt and head for stunning Jordan today. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight. On arrival at Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Jordan is cosmopolitan and contemporary, yet steeped in biblical history. Pick up a coffee from a cafe and partner it with an ara’yes, a toastie filled with spicy mincemeat. Head to the Old Town’s Roman Amphitheatre, find fine culture at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, look down on the city from the hilltop Temple of Hercules, or begin your trip with a relax in a Turkish bath house.

Day 9

Amman . Dead Sea

Destination Amman . Dead Sea Meals included Breakfast Hotel 4 . Ramada Resort by Wyndham Dead Sea, or similar Start the day exploring this bustling modern city. The historical places are located downtown, where we will visit the Citadel with remains dating from the Romans to the early Islamic period. Then we pay a visit to the Archaeological Museum, housing an excellent collection of several Dead Sea Scrolls. We stroll via the Souq, getting an idea of everyday life, then head to the Roman Theater which holds 6000 seats, dated back to the 2nd century. Afterwards you will have a short drive south-west (approximately 1 hour) to the Dead Sea. Don’t forget to pack your swim gear, because in the afternoon you can wash off the dust with a dip like no other. Named for the dearth of life in its waters, this lake is so intensely salty that the density of the water makes swimming and getting underneath the surface very difficult. Floating on the surface without any sort of lilo makes for a unique pleasure though. Grab a handful of the shoreline’s mud and slick it over your body on the way back in – it’s full of nutrient-rich natural minerals.

Day 10

Dead Sea . Petra

Destination Dead Sea . Petra Meals included Breakfast Hotel 4 . Petra Panorama Hotel, or similar After breakfast, we’ll head to Petra, referred to as the Rose City for the colour of the stone out of which it is carved. Then onto Madaba, about a 45 minute drive, which is home to a number of fine Byzantine mosaics. We’ll visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George and see an impressive mosaic map of the Holy Land that clearly depicts Palestine and Lower Egypt around 550 AD. It’s then about a three hour drive to the ancient village at Dana, on the edge of the Dana Biosphere Reserve, where local artisans sell attractive silver jewellery and charms. Later, the ancient Crusader castle at Shobak makes an imposing sight as you drive up to it. It was originally built to protect the eastern flank of the Latin Kingdom and its trade routes to the sea before it fell to Saladin in 1189. Stroll the site and discover a small chapel, original gatehouse and find out where a long, dark secret passage leads. We’ll arrive in Petra at night.

Day 11

Petra

Destination Petra Meals included Breakfast Hotel 4 . Petra Panorama Hotel, or similar Petra is justifiably on most people’s lists of ‘must-visit’ places. It’s the jewel of Jordan, the lost city of the biblical Nabateans, an impressive series of tombs and dwellings hidden behind ornate facades carved directly into the rock. The iconic Petra view – the Treasury’s glorious façade, glimpsed from the narrow cleft known as the Siq – is arguably the single most striking sight of the entire region. It’s almost surreal when you first see exquisite craftsmanship against such stark scenery. The Siq leads through the rock and is sometimes only a few metres wide, with walls soaring up to 180 metres on either side, and it is impossible not to imagine the armies and traders who made their way down here in ancient times. Petra's greatest surprise, however, is its size. With your guide you will explore the old Roman road, amphitheatre and several old tombs. You will also climb up to the second beautiful façade of the Monastery, from where you will have a magnificent view of the entire site. This is a memorable day exploring a truly extraordinary destination, a highlight of your trip. There is a cafeteria on site, where you can enjoy a light lunch. The rest of the day will be at your leisure – perhaps take the chance to witness Petra by night. Seeing the Treasury plaza lit up by flickering candle light while Bedouin music plays is a magical experience.

Day 12

Petra . Wadi Rum

Destination Petra . Wadi Rum Meals included Breakfast, Dinner Hotel Hilawi Camp Wadi Rum , or similar Petra is an incredible site and almost demands more than one visit. If you want to see more, then get up early to soak in the dramatic setting, walk to extra sites like the High Place of Sacrifice, and just try to comprehend the history and life of this city that was once able to challenge the might of Rome. We’ll head into this desolate, romantic protected area in rather rickety old jeeps, operated by the local Bedouin community. This is an attempt by the Jordanian Government to bring much-needed income into this region – an initiative we also support. After lunch in the small village of Wadi Rum and a browse around the excellent and informative visitors’ centre, you will visit several of Wadi Rum's distinctive rock formations and soak in the vast silence and spectacular desert landscapes. Wadi Rum is a truly beautiful place with towering sandstone mountains. The wind-sculpted rock formations change hue throughout the day from sunrise to sunset. Wadi Rum is probably best known for its connection with the enigmatic British officer T.E. Lawrence, who was based here during the Great Arab Revolt of 1917-18. Much of David Lean's movie on his exploits, 'Lawrence of Arabia', was actually filmed in Wadi Rum. The Bedouins live in scattered camps throughout the area. You will enjoy an evening with them at one of their camps, which is set in an amazing location.

Day 13

Wadi Rum . Amman

Geneva Hotel Amman, or similar After waking up in the unique surrounds of the Bedouin camp this morning, you will enjoy a walk around the area before scaling one of the large dunes to enjoy sensational views of the surrounding area. Keen photographers will be delighted. You will then take 4WDs from your camp back to the main entrance, which is opposite the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, the mountain named after Lawrence of Arabia’s book. The visitors’ centre here is also a great spot to buy some jewellery and handicrafts, mostly made by a women's cooperative that is aimed at supporting traditional local industries. Drive on to Madaba (approximately 4 hours), home to a number of fine Byzantine mosaics. Visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George and see an impressive mosaic map of the Holy Land that clearly depicts Palestine and Lower Egypt around 550 AD. In the same area is Mt. Nebo where Moses is believed to first laid eyes on the Promise Land. We then continue to back to Amman.

Day 14

Amman . Jerash . Amman

Destination Amman . Jerash . Amman Meals included Breakfast Hotel 4 . Geneva Hotel Amman, or similar After breakfast, there is a short drive north (approximately one hour) to Jerash, once one of the grandest ancient Roman cities in the world. These Greco-Roman ruins are impressive. A favourite of the emperor Hadrian, it has a striking collection of archways and theatres, baths, public buildings and colonnaded streets, and is a beautiful place to spend a day exploring. Grand iconic columns encircle the city’s centrepiece, the Oval Plaza, a wonderfully atmospheric place to linger after exploring Jerash’s riches. Return to Amman for a free afternoon at leisure.

  • Flights will require a minimum of 1 transit (maximum 2)
  • All tickets will include 20 kilos checked baggage per person, along with 7 kilos of hand luggage.
  • Despite the airlines’ baggage allowance, we recommend travelling with 20 kilos per person due to restrictions with internal flights (where applicable), as well as coach and train transportation. Also, you will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters is not included. If travelling over this amount, you will be liable for any excess baggage fees enforced by the airline, payable direct.
  • Once ticketed, flights are non-refundable. Any changes will be subject to the airline rules and change fees
  • Full names as per passport (including all middle names) are required
  • Any airline schedule changes or cancellations are beyond our control

Please note: The only mode of transport available to visit the Edfu temple is by locally managed horse and carriages. As a responsible travel focused business, animal welfare is extremely important to us and unfortunately, some operators of the horse and carriages have been found to be in breach of our animal welfare guidelines. It is for this reason we do not include the visit the Edfu Temple. While we recommend that you do not use the horse
and carriage to visit the Temple, the decision is ultimately up to you and your guide can help arrange transport and ensure the best horses are used.

Optional tours can be selected once you have finalised your tour purchase and paid your deposit. When completing your Passenger Booking Form, you will be asked if you would like to add Optional Tours, where any applicable cost will be added to your final balance. If you choose not to select them at this time, you can choose to add them later by logging in to your Account online or speaking with your Dedicated Support Agent for assistance. Please note that you must select your Optional Tours no later than 65 days before departure, after which you will be required to purchase them on tour. Please keep in mind that
anything purchased on-tour is subject to availability and prices may vary as you will be paying in local currency. We appreciate your understanding.

Most flights will require a minimum of 1 transit (maximum 2).

All tickets will include 20 kilos checked baggage per person, along with 7 kilos of hand luggage. Despite the airline's baggage allowance, we recommend travelling with 20 kilos per person due to restrictions with internal flights (where applicable), as well as coach and train transportation. Also, you will be responsible for handling your luggage at all times as the services of porters is not included. If travelling over this amount, you will be liable for any excess baggage fees enforced by the airline, payable direct.

Once ticketed, flights are non-refundable.

How to extend your stay

Some customers like to enhance their holiday by extending their stay pre- and/or post-tour. If you wish to do so, please follow these steps:

2. Here, please specify your preferred flight arrangements and if you require additional accommodation, with the number of nights needed.
3. After finalising your purchase and submitting your booking form, a member of our team will be in contact with you via email to verify your request.

In the event your selection is unavailable, or that you are dissatisfied with the quote, you will be provided with a full refund.

A general level of fitness and mobility is required for this tour. The itinerary includes ample free time and you will not be impacted by stairs and uneven terrain. Where coach transportation is included, you will be required to get on and off the coach or plane with ease.

Regardless of whether an accompanying solo traveller is found, you are guaranteed to travel at no additional cost. Solo travellers are matched only on the basis of gender and not on other factors such as age, nationality, religion or sexuality. We kindly ask that you disclose any requirements, medical or otherwise, that might disturb your matched traveller’s sleep (e.g. sleep apnoea or a CPAP machine).

Unfortunately, with this in mind and in the interest of other travellers, we request that you proceed with your own private room with the resulting single supplement. Should a second solo traveller not be available, you are nonetheless guaranteed to travel at no extra cost and you will be placed into a single, twin share or double room by yourself. Your tour group may include multiple solo travellers who may or may not be paired. No changes will be permitted to any pairing arrangements.

Note that for some portions of some itineraries, the group sizes will vary. Some packages may operate on groups as small as 2 people and therefore, there may be time spent travelling only with your paired traveller. Should a package require a minimum number of 2 travellers and you are not paired, your booking may be cancelled.

You will be introduced to your matched solo traveller at the beginning of your itinerary and your personal details will not be shared as per our Privacy Policy. Should there be any dissatisfaction with your matched traveller, unfortunately, we are unable to make any changes to your room arrangements or offer any refund. While the tour itinerary should give you some guidance and overview to the expected requirements, to determine if this tour is right for you we categorise each of our tours in terms of their intensity. These guidelines are to ensure that each tour group is conducted as expected and to ensure the overall satisfaction of all Tripmia Travels and Tours customers. As a general rule, porterage is not included, therefore at all times, you are expected to handle your own luggage where help may not be available. This particular tour is categorised as a “Superior":

Superior – Active Tour: A very good level of fitness and mobility is required for you to enjoy all aspects of the itinerary, as this is considered a fast-paced tour. While there is some free time scheduled either in the morning or afternoon, there are many full days of sightseeing with minimal rest and some early starts. You will be required to walk up and down stairs, get on and off the coach and participate in all scheduled sightseeing that may be conducted on uneven ground and terrain. Any physical ailments you may have must be disclosed at the time of booking to determine your suitability. If you have any form of walking aids, other than a walking stick or hiking poles, then this tour is not suitable.

It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport. The passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from your intended date of return.

Australian passport holders do not require a visa to enter the European Union for a stay up to 90 days.
Some countries require e-visa . You will be able to obtain your E-visa when you have your tour documents indicating your date of entry into a country, approximately 120 days prior to departure.

Please note, the ETA has limited to 60 days validity from the date of arrival. We can assist you over the phone as best as possible, however additional fee of $300 will be charged if you want us to submit an application on your behalf.

A friendly reminder that tipping is not included in your package. At the commencement of your tour, you will be asked to provide tipping to your guide towards a ‘kitty’, which is then used towards the guide tipping for the services of helpers, hotel staff, restaurants and airport porterage. We recommend AUD$3 per person, per day, to be paid in local currency. Please note that this tipping is not for the guide or driver, merely for the guide to tip the services of other local workers during your tour. While not made compulsory, if you choose not to contribute to the kitty it means that the guide is tipping for these services out of their own pocket. Your cooperation in this instance is most appreciated.

Further, tips for your guide and driver will be collected at the conclusion of their services. To remove the uncertainty and stress of not knowing how much is appropriate to tip we recommend AUD$6-10 per person per day for your guide and AUD$3-5 per person per day for your driver to be paid in local currency. The amount you wish to contribute is dependent on the services received and at the complete discretion of the guest. Thank you for your understanding.

Any other tipping, such as tips for the camera and video fees, bathroom attendants or hotel porters that are taking luggage to your room, is at your discretion as are gratuities for additional requested special services. We encourage passengers to have a supply of small denominations of local currency to distribute for personal tipping.

Please note that all Tours and Packages are subject to availability and all prices are set. Any booking valued at or less than $1,000 must be paid in full amount after booking is made. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

PAYMENT BY CHEQUE

Please note that cheque payments require about 5 business days to process. If you are paying by this method you will need to make the payment at least 5 business days prior to the actual due date. You agree not to stop payment of the cheque even when you cancel a booking. You agree that we may apply the proceeds of the cheque to satisfy any liability you have to us, including any liability in respect of cancellation fees, before refunding the balances to you.

DEPOSIT

Receipt of Deposit

By sending a deposit the client agrees to be bound by the terms, conditions and responsibilities set forth in this booking. The client also agrees that:

- All persons are fit and physically able to partake unaided in their chosen group tour as per the itinerary outlined in the Tours.

- All persons travelling on a Fully Independent Tour are fit and physically able to partake unaided in their chosen itinerary.

- All parties acknowledge the physical demands and hazards involved in the tour they will be undertaking and have chosen to participate at their own risk.

- All parties understand that any medical or dietary information provided to us does not, under any circumstances, make Tweet World Travel liable if a particular condition exacerbates while on tour or affects their ability to participate in any portion of the tour.

Balance of Payment

Outstanding balance depends on the type of service you are undertaking:

- For private tours/packages or other products, outstanding balance is due 65 days before departure. No voucher will be issued until final payment is received in our office. If the outstanding payment is not received by day 65, your booking will automatically be cancelled.

- For large group tours and school tours, outstanding balance is due 90 days before departure. No voucher will be issued until final payment is received in our office. If the outstanding payment is not received by day 90, your booking will automatically be cancelled.

Travel insurance is required to protect yourself against the unexpected. An illness, an accident or an unexpected situation can arise before or during any type of vacation. Such an event might cause you to cut short your trip or cause your trip to be cancelled. Insurance protects passengers from financial loss in the event of an emergency. Cancellation by Tripmia Travel and Tours

For group set departure date tour, if the minimum number of the group is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel or vary the tour 30 days prior to departure. If this event occurs, an alternative guaranteed travel date will be offered. Should these options not be acceptable Tripmia Travel and Tours will refund the full price paid, less visa cost.

If a tour is cancelled or varied prior to departure due to unforeseeable circumstances such as, but not restricted to, severe weather conditions or force majeure, Tripmia Travel and Tours will refund all monies prior to departure less visa cost, fuel surcharge and any other cancellation fees levied by airlines and other third parties.

If a cruise booking is cancelled or varied prior to departure due to unforeseeable circumstances such as, but not restricted to, severe weather conditions or force majeure, Tripmia Travel and Tours will refund all monies prior to departure.

Cancellation by Third Party Travel Provider

If the Third Part Travel Provider changes any part of your booking for reasons beyond its control, for example, if a Third Party Travel Provider changes its schedules, overbooks, or if there are any changes in applicable surcharges, fees or taxes, we will use our reasonable endeavors to notify you. If any such changes result in your Travel Product costing more or otherwise being materially different, then you may cancel the Travel Product and we will refund any monies already paid less any fees charged by us under these terms and conditions and by the Third Party Travel Providers under the terms and conditions you agreed with them. Please check with your consultant before cancelling or amending a Travel Product in these circumstances as some Third Party Travel Providers may charge cancellation fees up to 100% of the Travel Product’s prices as per their terms and conditions.

AGENCY
We act as an agent for, and sell various travel related products as agent on behalf of, numerous transports, accommodation and other service providers, such as airlines, coach, rail and cruise line operators, as well as all of our wholesalers. Our obligation to you is to make travel bookings as your agent on your behalf and to arrange relevant contracts between you and travel service providers.

We have no control over, or liability for, the services provided by third parties. All bookings are made on your behalf subject to the terms and conditions, including conditions of carriage and limitations of liability, imposed by these service providers. Your legal rights in connection with the provision of travel services are against the specific provider and, except to the extent a problem is caused by fault on our part, are not against us. Specifically, if for any reason any travel service provider is unable to provide the services for which you have contracted; your rights are against that provider and not against us.

Tripmia Travel and Tours (herewith called the Company) acts as a co‐ordinator for all persons taking these tours in the making of all arrangements for transportation, sightseeing and hotel accommodation. The Company does not own, manage, control or operate any transportation vehicle, any hotel or restaurant or any other supplier of services. All vouchers and tickets issued are subjected to the terms and conditions specified by the supplier and all services are subjected to the laws of the country where the services are provided.

Unforeseeable circumstances such as force majeure, adverse weather, flight rescheduling, hotel overbooking and faults with transportation or road conditions may also have an effect on the tour itinerary after the commencement date. Any decision made in respect of tour services by independent suppliers/operators or airlines to re-route or amend the itinerary due to any of the above or similar circumstances is at the discretion of the tour service provider and Tripmia Travel and Tours shall not be liable for any claim whatsoever arising from such events. We strongly urge all customers to undertake a high level of personal responsibility in order to ensure that possessions, equipment and personal documents are closely monitored and protected at all times. We also strongly advise all customers to purchase appropriate travel insurance to protect you from financial loss and personal injuries in the event of an emergency.

You acknowledge and agree that there are inherent risks involved in participating in the tour, including without limitation possible contact with native flora/fauna, local residents, unforeseen events and travel in remote locations.

By making a booking, you agree to accept all risks associated with the tour. You agree to unconditionally release us from, all liability, including without limitation in contract and in tort, for any cause or action, including any injury, damage, loss, cost, delay, additional expense or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly as a result of the inherent risks associated with the tour, or any force majeure events or other events which are beyond our control, including but not limited to war, civil disobedience, terrorism, insurrection, accident, explosion, sickness, fire, floods, severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government, alteration or cancellation of scheduled air services, accidents to or failure of machinery or equipment or industrial action.

If we or our service providers are affected in any way by a force majeure event, we may in our discretion vary or cancel any itinerary or arrangement in relation to the tour as we consider necessary, without incurring any liability to you.

Each service provider is responsible for the part of the tour it conducts. Service providers are not our agents or employees and are not under our direct control. We therefore do not warrant the performance of any service provider. We do not accept, and you release us from, all liability for any injury, loss, damage, costs or expenses, including without limitation any property damage or personal injury, that you may suffer which arises out of any act or omission of a service provider or operator who provides services in connection with your tour. Any claim that you may have in relation to a service provider should be raised directly with that service provider.

You are responsible for any injury, loss, damage, costs or expenses arising through your own fault. You agree to indemnify us against all actions, proceedings, claims, demands, expenses and costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis and whether incurred by or awarded against us) as a result of, or arising in relation to, whether directly or indirectly, your participation in the tour or any act or omission by you in relation to the tour.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not accept any liability in contract, or otherwise for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of third party providers over which we have no direct control.

Under circumstances where our liability cannot be excluded and where liability may be lawfully limited, such liability is limited to the remedies required of us under applicable law (including the Australian Consumer Law). This liability clause is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
